Load Balancing SSRS with Standard Edition

We have a SSRS Installation using the Standard Edition and the DB hosted in
an Active/Passive cluster environment. I want to scale-out my report server
but MS states the Standard edition is not supported but it is nor clear if I
can accomplish that using a load balancer solution. We have a Barracuda Load
Balancer hardware, can I acomplish load balance with my current environment?;
if so, where can I get additional information as to what to do when
installing SSRS in the other nodes for the Standard Edition?

Thanks

The load balancing requires enterprise edition. In load balancing you have
multiple RS installed and they all share the same database for
metadata/object caching. There is no other way I am aware of to load balance
without enterprise.

Is it not already scaled out since the DB is not on the report server?
Does this configuration require the enterprise license?
